Green Juice recipe in mason jars with celery, parsley and apple

Completely refreshing and dare I say delicious, packed with veggies and a little kick from ginger, this green juice recipe has become our ultimate obsession. We can’t start the morning without it!

It’s been a fun time in the Al Nujaidi kitchen. First we got an air fryer, then we got this juicer. Wild times, I tell you!

And now…we can’t LIVE without a juicer. We’ve been making the exact same type of juice over and over again, so we haven’t even branched out, but it’s hard to when it’s SO GOOD and so righteous. We feel like a million bucks every time we have a glass.

Why is green juice so healthy?

The basis of this green juice is celery, and that’s no coincidence. I kept reading everywhere about how amazing celery juice is for the body. I did my research and learned why, but also didn’t want to drink straight up celery. I want to enjoy my juice! hence all the other added fruits and veggies, all of which have amazing benefits to the body. Everything in here is packed with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, promotes digestion and minimizes bloating, and is completely hydrating.

The ginger is the perfect throat soother if you feel like you are coming down with something. This juice is also pretty filling! I often drink this as the first thing I have after a day of intermittent fasting and it helps control my cravings for other things.

What’s in our favorite green juice recipe?

LOTS of veggies, then tart green apples to balance out that flavor. Basically:

Cucumbers

Celery

Parsley

Green Apples

Ginger

Lime

What are the best vegetables to juice?

Play around! Use the recipe as a basis, then add more or less of whatever you like, or whatever is in your fridge. I like cucumbers because they are so watery, carrots for their sweetness, and throwing in some leafy greens like kale, spinach, or parsley because you can consume a lot more of them in a juice than you’d be able to on your plate.

How far in advance can I make green juice?

Ideally, drink it fresh. The juice starts to lose nutrients 30 minutes after being juiced. However, this doesn’t mean it isn’t good after some time. You can prepare green juice up to 72 hours before drinking. I make a big batch, drink some immediately, then store some tightly covered in the fridge to grab and go with me over the next few days.

Green Juice

Refreshing and super healthy celery and cucumber based green juice. Tangy, reinvigorating and just the tiniest bit sweet, this is my husband and I's latest addiction.

I do love green juices as they are packed with nutrients and actually very tasty especially if sweetened with lovely apples like what you’ve done here. Lovely recipe.

This sounds like a delicious combo for a green juice! I’d skip the celery since that’s my cryptonite but the rest of the ignredients I imagine will be delicious on their own!
