Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 head cauliflower, broken or cut into florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • pinch sumac for sprinkling, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 390 F (200 C).
  • Add cauliflower florets to a large bowl. Add the olive oil and all the spices and toss well to combine.
  • Add 1/2 the cauliflower to the basket of an air fryer, and air fry for anywhere between 15-20 minutes depending on the size of your florets, until crispy and golden brown, shaking every 3 minutes or so.
  • Once the first batch is done, repeat with the second batch. Sprinkle cauliflower with sumac, optional but really yummy.
  • Enjoy hot, room temperature, or cold. You can have this plain, dipped in tahini sauce, with sriracha mayo, in a pita bread wrap, on salads, so many ways!

Notes

You can use a small or large head of cauliflower, but regardless you'll probably have to air fry this in two batches unless you have a larger air fryer. You don't want to overcrowd the cauliflower in the basket so that it crisps up well.

Storing leftovers: Leftover cauliflower can be stored for 3-5 days in the fridge in an air tight container.
You can also store leftovers in the freezer for 3 months, and they'll thaw within a couple hours in the fridge.
