Mango Smoothie Without Banana

This frozen mango smoothie without banana is so tangy, refreshing and super simple! A handful of ingredients and you get a delicious mango lassi inspired smoothie with cinnamon and cardamom.

Equipment

  • High powered blender (like the Ninja)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen mango cubes 280g
  • 3/4 cup plain yogurt 170g
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk or milk of choice laban works great
  • 1 tablespoon honey, maple syrup, or agave syrup
  • squeeze lime juice
  • pinch cardamom powder optional
  • pinch cinnamon powder optional

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to a high powered blender.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness/lime juice if desired.
  • Pour into 2 cups and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure you are using a blender that is high powered, like a Ninja blender, to make sure that it's capable of crushing the frozen fruit.
  • I prefer frozen mango, it'll make the smoothie cold, thick and creamy, but you can also use fresh mango cubes.
  • Taste and adjust the sweetness- you may want to add a little more honey, or a squeeze more lime juice,
Make this vegan: Use plant based milk and coconut yogurt
Storing leftovers: I prefer enjoying this fresh but leftovers will last in a tightly covered container in the fridge overnight.  Shake if it separates, and enjoy!
