Smashed Pea Toast
Move over avocado toast, this is another tasty green spread made easy with frozen peas that are heated, seasoned and smashed over toast.

Servings: 4 people
- 4 tbsp olive oil, divided
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1/2 small onion, finely diced
- 250 g frozen green peas (about 1 cup)
- salt and pepper to taste
- pinch of chili flakes
Heat 2 tbsp of the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the garlic cloves and diced onions and sauté for 4-5 until softened.
Add the frozen peas, and cook until softened and easily smushed with a fork.
Add the pea mixture to a food processor or blender, and while mixer is running, add the remaining 2 tbsp of olive oil. Process until a thick paste forms.
Taste for seasoning and adjust. Spread on toast of choice and enjoy!
